8th April 2017 - VAANI Competitions



During the school half term we have a day full of creativity, fun and excitement for the whole family. Early booking requested to avoid disappointment as we have limited space and the competitions are usually over subscribed.

Time: 10.30am to 6.00pm
Venue: Fulwellcross Library Hall, 140 High St, Ilford IG6 2EA
Food Stalls (Please bring lots of change)


Age groups: (5 years to 10 years) (11 years to 16 years) and (17years and adult)

Theme: "Revival" and "Tudor England"

Judges on 8th April 2017 - Sweta Jain

Sweta is an artist. She completed her Fine Art at the Art College in India. Her creative flair is an innate talent. Sweta is based in Essex however her inspiration is worldwide. As a child growing up in Patna, India, she explored art and her love grew deeper. She taught art at the age of 13 to many students in India. In her adult years she has established herself as a successful artist. Sweta's work knows no boundaries and her choice of media is limitless. Her passion within the variety of paintings inclusive of oil, water color, metallic, wood work, glass and portraiture. She pride's herself on working closely with her customers to give them an exclusive masterpiece and achieving the highest standard.

Sweta recently worked on metal painting and her topic mainly based on elephants and traditional Indian Art. Finding very unusual and unique medium in UK , she decided to expand in variety of topics rather than just Indian Art. This is becoming a passion to try new topics based on good luck charm, for example Koi fish, turtle, elephants etc.


Sweta has successfully exhibited her art in many exhibitions throughout Suffolk (Felixstowe, Trimly, Ipswich and Needham Market) Essex (Chelmsford) and recently twice in London Brick lane, Parallax art fair in Chelsea town hall in Chelsea. Also collaborating with Gabriel fine art gallery in Canary Warf .There are more to come this year and after.
